Pedro Geraldes
Born and raised in Porto (1981), Pedro Geraldes’ path crosses architecture (FAUP), engineering (FEUP), and a restless spirit fueled by travel, sports, and a constant multidisciplinary curiosity.
“A lamp does not have to look like a lamp.”
Drawing from this rich and diverse background, he co-founded fOsqa, a brand of authored lighting objects sitting at the convergence of art, design, and craft.
For Pedro Geraldes, light is never a starting point solely focused on function, but rather the consequence of a creative gesture, a material, or a point of view. In an era dominated by grey neutrality and safe forms, Geraldes explores colour not as a surface finish, but as an active material and emotional language capable of altering space perception and provoking reactions in the viewer.
