Where light
follows art.
fOsqa is a brand of authored lighting objects that live at the convergence of art, design and craft. For fOsqa, light is never the starting point, but the consequence of a gesture, a material, a point of view.
We create and curate objects that reveal themselves slowly, through the dialogue between form, texture, light and shadow. Each carries the narrative of its maker, inscribing itself in memory and emotion.
We pursue timelessness: pieces that resist trends and the immediate, holding their relevance through the force of their own essence.
fOsqa. Where light follows art.
The Curatorial Vision
fOsqa is captivated by what happens when the starting point is not a lamp.
What object would you create if the idea emerged from a feeling, a poem, a sensation, a memory, a question or a simple gesture?
fOsqa looks for authors who bring their own way of seeing and thinking into the world of light. Authors from different creative fields, with different languages, references and ways of making. We are interested in what happens when these worlds meet something they were never expected to meet.
A lamp does not have to look like a lamp.
It can begin as a sculpture, a toy, a game, a drawing, a material experiment or an idea that has never been associated with light.
We look for colour that changes perception, forms that reveal themselves through movement, play that opens possibilities, and objects that provoke curiosity. Objects that make us want to look around them, touch them, understand them and speculate.
fOsqa is drawn to objects that do not simply fit into a space, but create a new dimension within it. Objects that can be discreet or assertive, familiar or unexpected, rigorous or playful.
We are fascinated by what happens when light follows.
Light is not the starting point.
Light extends the object.
Ultimately, we are not looking for another object that simply fits in.
fOsqa seeks a point of view.
